as I write
on the plight
of a man with a dream...
a man
with, no 12-man roster,
but a team
it seems
that your dreams
might attract some envy
& could turn so deadly
if you turn
too friendly
but let us see
if we
could find connection,
gently
find similarities
just like the Chrysler
and the Bentley
& not many can relate
in present day,
to ancient times
so I've..
found some inspiration
from a Bible character's life
that's why the correlation
ring some truth
I'll try to
bring it straight to you
through poetic conversation
the illustration cadence
through the pen
of a French-Haitian
amazing how
thru struggles,
I done found me
some relation
such a hard
disregard
for a teen
with a dream
if you saw
from the start
vision is
everything
just dream
till you're seeing
that your scene
starts to change
but be careful
sharing tho
because
people tend to hate
it's strange though,
ya so-called "bro's" be done changed
& done left you in a hole,
get sold
as a slave
remain
focused tho,
on your goal, and have faith
cus it may
be a while
as your trials
take their place
but in the meanwhile
realize
who's you are
& don't be senile
though it's dark,
you've come far
from start
to the finish,
always learn like classrooms
& flee the naked
woman in the room
if you have to
though your respect
they'd neglect
or you may feel
is past due
expect and
do not check
but for your own attitude
you've got the latitude
simply guard your avenues
you'll find
the glory
in your mourning story
in the afternoon
& when it's time
for you to
do what's right
do not refuse
the blessing
