My Life is Music,

A melody amidst

all the confusion

a joy deep down inside

to combat all the lies

of this life

that say "you're useless"

or like a tree

that seems fruitless.

identity erases

all confusion

& lemme tell you, dawg,

the truth is

you ain’t gotta be a music expert

to use your two lips

I write poetry,

it’s fluid..

love basketball too,

but this my true gift,

& like music,

I get in a zone,

given a tone

& can’t be told

how to use it

otherwise, I’d be stupid

& my happiness would be

but an illusion

I’m not sure

what made me do this,
