P.A.R.K Somewhere [Poem]
Ya life
it’ll definitely
deal you some strife
& that’s for sure
& on this road
discouragement’ll
make you feel deterred
but since we keeping up,
never stopping or U-Turns
I learned to
not only push through
but
utilize these two words
in this cold world
it'll give the kid
frostbite,
& even penalize
if you ever caught off offsides
but if you’re really stressed
thankfully
there’s a hotline
you can call out to a G
who won’t put you
on
the spotlight
promises you purpose
& that
you’ll be alright,
offers us assistance
anytime, like onside
life won’t stop for no one
since there ain’t no stop signs
or red lights
so when you overwhelmed,
pull over,
& P.A.R.K, slime
P, it equals Praise
& Put God first, no matter what
& tho you weary, kid
muster up,
‘cause that’s a must
You’ll face some distractions &
won’t always see a way
or an escape
from situations
but that’s where He starts, right?
A, equals
Acknowledge His goodness
at all times,
separate the good from the bad
like Apartheid
your problems may be harsh
tho you strong,
you may feel wronger
but
would you help
someone
if they constantly cry
bout
what’s NOT right?
R equals Remember your feelings,
even if scattered.
but cast em on ya boy
‘cause He cares for you
& you matter
His heart beats for you, baby
so trust me, it really shatters
when you going thru ya pains
but hang on,
there’s glory after
K, it equals
Keep on applying yourself,
you heard?
productiveness
in midst of a storm,
might sound absurd,
but,
you’re more than capable
Shawty,
& if you weren’t
then I’m pretty sure
your trials
would’ve BEEN
put you in the dirt
after you done parked
cut the engine on,
keep going,
something like this poetry piece,
just keep flowing,
better said than done
these days,
already knowing
but be sure
that I too
go thru some things,
that’s why I wrote it.
