Recalibrate [Poem]

rise up to fall back

then shake back some…

to be great

don’t look down on your mistakes

but embrace

rather than throw tantrums

better self

& work hard, no debate

& tho I may

feel a way, feel down some

may irritate the simple ways I concentrate

it be cool

when, my pace,

I’ve found some

use consistency

to figure out my fate

and it’s true

that tho I do feel handsome,

true beauty

really coming from within

so choose truth

never try & hold it ransom,

& in advance,

purpose discovery

begins

I ain’t perfect

but I’m working hard

& then some..

it’s hard to see, like the fog on a highway

and if you pray too

I’m asking that you send some

prayers up for me
