Place Kicker [Poem]

They say

Life is like a roller coaster

‘cause it’s ups & downs

at times. you’ll think you’ve lost,

at the

same time

yourself, you’ve found

Life could be a game too,

since there’s cameras all around

& then you’ve got a crowd,

that’s loud

but

just don’t step out of bounds

life be a lot of things

the list,

it could go on

like if life was a soundtrack

we would all have different songs

& there’s no right or wrong

in types of songs,

just different genres

but for today,

we’ll say

that life’s a road

& you,

you whip a Honda

in this ride of life

sometimes, the highway takes you quicker,

you’ll run into some potholes

some small, and some way bigger

other times, the signal go out

on the transmitter

but most times (you)

won’t be the driver,

ride shotgun, but no triggers

when you feeling triggered

there’d be things

that’d make you bitter

like if you find ya shorty

and some “homies”

hanging wit her

the world be cold like that

be so cold, it’ll make you shiver

but since

you only charge of self

align yourself

like a place kicker.
