S.O.S [Poem]

Dear Jehovah Jireh

also known as

my provider,

You said that You’d be with me

& that

You’d ride for this writer..

I’d hope you won’t forget me

cus I know You’re not a liar

but it’s like

the longer I stay down

the more hotter the fire

& honestly I’m tired

but my feet, I’m steady planting

You tell me to trust You &

lean not on my understanding,

but ranting while I’m

standing in the rain,

steady voicing out my pains

hoping change

would intrude

my life’s demandings

I’m hanging on a thread

looking down,

it’s pretty deep..

my plan is not to fall,

but I’ll accept whatever feat..

‘cus honestly

I’m mortal &

my hands are pretty weak

so either

channel

my inner cliff-hanger

or fall to my defeat

to keep it short & sweet,

some of these problems were my doing

I’m learning as I go,

& character refinement

is what’s brewing

but more often than not

I find this life thing

real confusing

But I’m aiming to improve

& prove my wrongs

are worth undoing

I pray that You’re on standby

not just by-standing, and viewing…

I know that I’m not perfect in the

slightest

but I’m moving,

my race is against time

& this here mountain’s

mine to climb,

but You remind..

You stand outside

of time

& You know what

You’re doing...
