Self-Discovery [Poem]

It’s like the truth of who I am

‘twas hid,

behind a shelf,

it’s sumn like self-discovery,

that’s where I find myself

You can complain if you want

or try & find some help,

but take some time

or take a ride

& look inside yourself

From the things you gotta work on

and things you refuse (to do),

to the trials that

only God Himself

can pull you through

or the things you fantasize

to make your dreams

come true,

never despise

your inner child,

that there’s the root

of YOU

pay attention to

your triggers

& what makes you smile,

& embrace your trials

although, sometimes

it’ll take a while

educate yourself on love,

don’t try to make

one cry,

& when you complete

your puzzle piece

you’ll final-

ly see why.
